  • Access: Multiple entry points accessible via Soufriere; parking available at main entry points.

  • Facilities: Rest stops, picnic areas, and designated viewpoints scattered throughout.

  • Permits: Some routes require permits. A guide (like me!) is always recommended.

Packing list

  • Comfortable walking or trail shoes with good grip.

  • Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing.

  • Breathable rain jacket or poncho.

  • Hat and sunglasses.

  • Insect repellent — for after it rains.

  • At least 1 to 2 liters of water.

  • Light snacks.

  • Heavy backpack that will slow you down and tire you out.

  • Any clothing made of heavy fabric that will dry slowly.

  • Brightly coloured clothing and perfume will attract insects.

    The rainforests in the southwest of St. Lucia are part of the oldest protected reserves in the Western Hemisphere. These reserves have been protected since the 18th century, ensuring the preservation of their rich biodiversity.

    When you are hoping to book with me. I get busy during peak season so book early to avoid dissapointment.

    Tell us where you are staying so we can arrange transfers. Boat transfers can also be arranged. Transfers are optional. Please let me know if you do not need this.

    So I can organise the best lunch for your group. Fish, chicken, vegetarian, vegan – all sorts of local cuisine can be arranged.
